Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way teenagers interact with each other, creating serious moral issues such as cyberbullying. This demonstrates that technological progress does not necessarily lead to maturity of character or ethical awareness among users. Education that has focused on cognitive aspects is not considered effective in fostering self-control, empathy, and deep moral habits. This study examines the concept of character education from the perspectives of Aristotle's ethics and the ethics of Ibn Miskawaih, as well as its relevance in preventing cyberbullying. The study employs a qualitative approach involving library research, content analysis, and a comparative philosophical approach. The results show that cyberbullying is closely related to the failure to internalize moral values. Aristotle emphasizes forming character through habituation to ethical behavior, while Ibn Miskawaih emphasizes purifying the soul, self-control, and inner balance as the basis of true ethics. These findings highlight the need for cyberbullying prevention that does not only rely on formal rules, but also includes the continuous formation of character and the strengthening of inner awareness.
