The principal's academic supervision plays a strategic role in improving the quality of learning and teacher professionalism in elementary schools. This research is motivated by the importance of continuous teacher development in facing the demands of educational quality, increasing pedagogical competence, and strengthening a professional work culture within the school environment. This study aims to describe the role of the principal's academic supervision in improving teacher performance at SDN 3 Wanayasa, Purwakarta Regency, through the application of POAC management functions, which include planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and school academic supervision documents. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the principal's academic supervision was carried out systematically through the formulation of supervision programs, organization of teacher development activities, implementation of learning observations, as well as regular evaluation and supervision follow-ups. Academic supervision has a positive impact on improving teacher discipline, completeness of learning administration, classroom management skills, the use of learning media, and the quality of the learning process in the classroom. In addition, academic supervision also contributes to building a collaborative work culture, increasing teacher motivation, and strengthening educator professionalism in schools. Thus, the principal's academic supervision is an essential part of improving educational quality and the sustainable development of teacher performance in elementary schools.
