Abstract

This study aims to describe the gadget usage habits of sixth - grade students, analyze the impact of these habits on learning concentration, and identify the strategies employed by teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun to address this impact. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects were sixth-grade teachers selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilized the interactive model developed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing while data validity was verified through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that excessive gadget use leads to a decline in students' learning concentration, characterized by reduced focus, poor comprehension of the material, and decreased engagement during lessons. To address this issue, teachers implement preventive strategies through education and rules regarding gadget usage; curative strategies involving individual approaches, motivation, and guidance; and collaborative strategies through cooperation with parents and the school. The implementation of these three strategies contributes to maintaining and enhancing students' learning concentration in the digital era.
