<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the role of Arabic language proficiency in supporting the Quranic memorization of 11th-grade female students at the Al-Ishlah Al-Islamy Islamic Boarding School. The study employs a qualitative approach, specifically field research. Research informants included Arabic language teachers and 11th-grade female students participating in the Quranic memorization (*tahfiz*) program. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using techniques of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was established through source triangulation and technique triangulation.The results indicate that Arabic language proficiency plays a role in supporting the students' Quranic memorization. Mastery of vocabulary, linguistic structure, and the comprehension of verse meanings enables students to memorize the Quran more meaningfully; it facilitates the retention of verse sequences, helps distinguish between verses with similar wording, and enhances the quality of review (*murojaah*). Understanding the meaning of the verses makes the memorization easier to sustain, as students do not merely memorize the wording but also grasp the content and message of the verses. The study also reveals that Arabic language proficiency is not the sole determinant of success in Quranic memorization. Factors such as motivation, sincerity, discipline in review, memorization methods, teacher guidance, parental support, and a conducive learning environment also contribute to the students' success. Thus, Arabic language proficiency serves as a supporting factor that contributes to the effectiveness of the Quranic memorization process.]]>
