Abstract

Background; Labor is the process of opening and thinning the cervix, as well as uterine contractions, and the fetus descends into the birth canal, causing pain in labor. Labor pain is a physiological process caused by contractions that cause cervical dilatation. Pain can be eliminated pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically, non-pharmacologically by giving lavender aromatherapy relaxation distraction. This study aims to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy relaxation distraction on reducing back pain in latent stage 1 labor. Method; The research design that the researcher uses is a case study research design. This type of descriptive case study research uses participatory observation method. The subjects in this study were mothers during the 1st stage of the latent phase. Result; The results showed that the diagnosis of Ny. S with back pain disorder. Evaluation of giving lavender aromatherapy relaxation distraction in the case of Ny. S with pain can be resolved and reduce pain at the time of delivery from a scale of 7-9 to 4-6. Conclusion; The problem of first stage labor in Ny. S is resolved.

Abstract

Background; Postpartum is the period of 6 weeks or 42 days after delivery. Similar to pre- pregnancy, the reproductive organs will undergo gradual changes. 60% of maternal morbidity occurs during the puerperium. These statistics explain the number of postpartum deaths. (Handayani, 2021). Oxytocin massage is one approach that can be used to overcome the problem of uneven milk production. Oxytocin massage is a type of massage performed along the spine (vertebrates) to the fifth or sixth rib. .This massage aims to increase the hormones prolactin and oxytocin released after childbirth. Oxytocin massage has a number of benefits, including providing comfort to the mother and stimulating the oxytocin reflex. Method; The research design that the researcher uses is a case study research design. This type of descriptive case study research uses participatory observation method. The subjects in this study were postpartum mothers. Result; The results of the study showed that the diagnosis in Mrs. G was that breast milk was not smooth. Evaluation of the implementation of oxytocin massage in the case of Mrs. G with non-fluent breast milk, it was found that the milk had come out smoothly. Conclusion; The problem of breastfeeding is not smooth, Mrs. G has been resolved.

Abstract

Background; Perineal lacerations can occur due to spontaneous tears or episiotomy. While the perineal wound itself will have its own impact on the mother, namely discomfort and bleeding disorders, while spontaneous perineal lacerations occur due to tension in the vaginal area during childbirth, can also occur due to the psychological burden of facing the birth process. Method; The research design that the researchers used was a case study research design. The population in this study were third trimester pregnant women with gestational age >34 weeks. The sample in this study amounted to 1 respondent. Results; After being given a perineal massage intervention which was carried out 2-3 x/week with a time of 5-10 minutes during labor, Mrs. R experienced grade I perineal lacerations. Conclusion; Perineal massage in pregnant women can prevent perineal lacerations during labour. This perineal massage can be applied in private midwife practice or performed by the patient himself at home regardless of parity.

Abstract

uterus, increasing anxiety, tension, fear and stress in facing labor which results in delays in the progress of labor. Labor pain can be treated using complementary therapy with aromatherapy techniques. Lavender aromatherapy can affect the limbic system in the brain which is the center of emotion, and is able to produce endorphins and enkephalins which have pain relieving properties and serotonin which has the effect of eliminating anxiety and tension. Lavender aromatherapy hasanticonvulsant, antidepressant, anxiolytic, and soothing properties during labor. Methods: The design of this study was a quasy experiment with a one group Pre-Post Test approach. The independent variable is giving Lavender aromatherapy. The dependent variable is labor pain. The population in this study was primiparous mothers, during April - June 2022, a sample of 28 respondents. Taking the side Non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling. Data collection tool using Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Bivariate analysis using the Paired Sample T Test. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy on labor pain in primipara in the active phase of the first stage. Results: There was a decrease in the pain score before being given lavender aromatherapy with a value of 7.535 (severe controlled pain) and after being given lavender aromatherapy a value of 5.321 (moderate pain). Giving lavender aromatherapy to labor pain can effectively reduce labor pain. Conclusion: Thus it was concluded that there was an effect of giving lavender aromatherapy to the scale of labor pain in primipara in the active phase of the first stage.

Abstract

Background : Specific strategies are needed to increase motivation, knowledge and perception of behavior in health education goals towards learning. Cooperative learning is a learning model in small groups that have different skills. Each member cooperates and helps each other in completing group assignments in order to understand a learning material (Aris, 2014). In this study, a cooperative learning model with the type of jigsaw II which aims to create a learning atmosphere that requires participants to be active in groups and stimulates an active learning atmosphere so that participants feel interested in participating in health education. Research objective : To analyze the effect of the jigsaw in reproductive health education on the knowledge of  the eleventh senior high school students. Method: This study used a one-group quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design. The design form used is time series design. The number of samples is 85 respondents. Results : There is an effect of applying the jigsaw II to the level of knowledge with a p-value of 0.000; after health education Conclusion : the jigsaw II is able to provide increased knowledge about reproductive health and feels more enjoyable.

Abstract

Background; Family Planning (KB) is an effective way to increase family resilience, health and safety of mothers and children. The BKKBN stated that one of the efforts to increase the quality of the population was to address population growth with the family planning program. Long-term contraceptive methods are one of the most effective methods that are durable, efficient, comfortable and relatively inexpensive. Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between family support and participation in long-term contraceptive methods. Method; correlative descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. The research subjects were all family planning acceptors who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The total sample is 120 respondents. Results; The results of the cross-tabulation between the level of knowledge and the use of injection contraception using the Chi-Square Test using the SPSS showed a p value of 0.004. According to the results above, it can be seen that the p value <0.05 so that the result is that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted Conclusion; in this study it was concluded that there was a relationship between family support and participation in long-term contraceptive methods.
