Abstract

This research is conducted to examine the impact of the mujawwad extracurricular program on the learning responsibility of students in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at SD Islam Ash-Sholiha. Employing a quantitative approach, the study population encompassed the entire student body, from which 34 fifth-grade students were specifically selected as the research sample. Primary data were gathered through observational methods and the distribution of pre- and post-intervention questionnaires. Furthermore, the collected data were subjected to validity and reliability assessments to ensure the instrument's feasibility. The analytical findings reveal that active involvement in mujawwad activities significantly and positively boosts students' academic responsibility. This behavioral transformation is explicitly evident in their punctuality when submitting assignments, better preparation for class, and increased independent learning. Statistical analysis demonstrates that the extracurricular program (variable X) contributes 32.4% to the improvement of learning responsibility (variable Y). Ultimately, this study concludes that the mujawwad program is highly recommended as a strategic approach to shape and reinforce student character, particularly in fostering academic commitment to PAI subjects.
