Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership style and work motivation on employee performance at CV. Golden Road Surabaya. The phenomenon underlying this study is the importance of the leader's role in providing inspiration and internal encouragement for employees to achieve company targets amid the competitive dynamics of the logistics business. The research method used is a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population in this study consisted of all 30 employees of CV. Golden Road Surabaya, using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through the distribution of Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test) with the assistance of SPSS software. The results show that transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (sig. 0.006), work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (sig. 0.013), and both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance (sig. 0.004), contributing 30.2%. Thus, improving employee performance at CV. Golden Road Surabaya can be optimally achieved through the implementation of an effective transformational leadership style and the provision of high work motivation to employees.
