The development of information technology systems that increasingly lately has brought many changes in human life. Advancement of technology requires that all human work is still manual and less efficient can be done with advanced technology as well.the role of technology and information systems are very supportive to the company. The problems experienced by Toko Ase Jaya is the slow process of data processing and reporting on every months. By using a information system of inventory and sales, the company can more easily generating information in the form of reports quickly and accurately.The author uses descriptive research as the study design. While the data collection methods used were interviews, observation and literature study.design technique used by the author is object-oriented technique and the modeling tool is Unified Modeling Language (UML). Application design technique used is the design of a database with SQL Server 2008 database as storage media, the design of applications with Microsoft Visual Basic.Net 2010 and the design of reports with Crystal Report 13.0, and for inputting goods code using Barcode.The research produced the design of information system of inventory and sales which includes purchase, purchase returns, sales, sales returns,and repayment of debt. In conclusion, the proposed system can facilitate data processing activities that occur in the company, help the company to solve the problems and make the reporting process be more effective. PO Nusa Indah Baru is a company engaged in the business of selling household furniture and household electric appliances. Along with the amount of inventory that must be managed, leading to the frequent occurrence of various problems due to the recording of transactions the company is still manual. The purpose of this study is to produce an inventory of information systems and computer-based sales to help the performance of employees in the company. The study design used by the author is a causal relationship research design, where the data collected is understood and analyzed. The authors use the method of observation, interview and literature study. For data analysis techniques, the authors use the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 as engineering design systems. By using a system of inventory and sales information has been computerized, PO Nusa Indah Baru will find it easy to do any transactions there. In addition, the head of the company can obtain reports are up-to-date information directly from the system. Based on research by the author, it can be concluded that the company's overall performance can still be improved, one way is to use a computerized system. A computerized system is expected to provide data that is more accurate than manual systems. Advice from the authors is the use of a computerized system has many advantages but also required a huge cost and maintenance as well as training for employees to use them appropriately, so as to provide the expected results. Nowadays, the development of information technology was growing rapidly especially in this globalization era. The use of computers can help the human activity in many areas of life, especially in the field of information technology. Makmur Jaya store is a store that specialized in trading operations that is still done manually. By designing an information system of inventory and sales, is expected to reduce the problems that exist. Systems analysis and design that used in this research is the Unified Modeling Language (UML). Database design of the system is using a SQL Server 2008 and the design of applications is using Microsoft Visual Basic.Net 2010 and reports design is using Crystal Report 13. The results of the research is an information system of inventory and sales which includes the purchase, purchase returns , repayment of debt, sales and sales returns, resulting in a report purchases, purchase returns, debt maturities, sales and sales returns. In conclusion, the proposed system can help Makmur Jaya store in reducing the problems that exist and can improve efficiency and effectiveness in supporting operational activities of the company. The rapid developments in technology now makes it possible to transform a manual system to a computerized system. And it can also be applied to the CV Samudra Diesel which until today still use sales recording process manually. This study aimed to analyze the weaknesses and needs of the inventory and sales information systems in CV Samudra Diesel to be given in the form of a draft proposed improvement of information systems that can meet the needs of the company. It is appropriate if a company wants to develop a system to be better able to use a computerized information system, so as to provide facilities and produce information quickly and appropriately in carrying out all the work that is in the business of trading. Inventory and sales information systems are supported by the use of barcodes can help reduce the rate of errors while entering data into the system. Implementation of information systems with the use of barcode scanners are expected to simplify and accelerate the process of activities within firms and to improve the accuracy of the data so that information produced higher quality.Keywords —information system, inventory, sales, barcode
