Abstract

Used cooking oil is a household waste that can be recycled into products with economic value. This Community Service Program (KKN) in Simpangan Village, North Cikarang Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, was designed to empower the community by processing used cooking oil into soap and candles under the “EcoLife” brand, which represents the collaboration between KKN students and the Simpangan Village community. In addition to waste processing, this program also includes strengthening the branding of products from the Women Farmers’ Group (KWT) and the Waste Bank, as well as digitalization through e-commerce. Furthermore, as well as the design of packaging for compost and produce from the KWT’s garden. Activities were carried out through outreach sessions, hands-on training, and direct mentoring of the community. The results of these activities demonstrate an increase in the community’s knowledge and skills in processing household waste into marketable products, the establishment of a more professional brand identity for KWT and Waste Bank products, and easier access to the BumDes location through both physical and digital signage. This program is expected to serve as a model for sustainable, locally-driven rural economic empowerment.
