Abstract

Sumberbaru Village holds significant potential for moringa production, yet its utilization has remained suboptimal. Through this community service initiative, moringa leaves were processed into herbal powder, and guidance was provided regarding business legality—specifically concerning permits and the Business Identification Number (NIB). The project employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, encompassing stages from potential identification and planning to product innovation and legal compliance support. This program played a pivotal role in fostering local resource management while strengthening the self-reliance and competitiveness of village-based MSMEs. Consequently, the community can now produce hygienic, diverse, and high-quality moringa powder, thereby unlocking broader market opportunities. Active resident participation also reflects a shift in mindset—from mere consumers to local entrepreneurs ready to compete in the digital era.
