Abstract

The early childhood saving education activity was conducted at SDN GunungCupu 2, Cimanuk District, Pandeglang Regency, with the aim of enhancing elementary school students' understanding of the importance of saving and simple money management. The method used in this activity was interactive socialization which included material presentation, question and answer sessions, group discussions, and hands-on practice tailored to the students' age and characteristics. The results showed very positive responses from the students, indicated by their increased enthusiasm and understanding of the benefits of saving, how to set aside pocket money, and the ability to distinguish between basic needs and mere desires. This activity also received full support from teachers and parents who committed to continuing the habituation of saving both at school and at home. Program sustainability was carried out through routine saving activities, simple record-keeping, and the use of piggy banks or savings books as supporting media. This education is expected to cultivate saving habits as a positive behavior from an early age, while also building disciplined, frugal, independent, and responsible characters in students. Through this program, students are expected to have adequate financial literacy provisions to face future economic challenges.
