Abstract

Digital da’wah can be understood as the dissemination of Islamic teachings through technolog based media that are easily accessible to the public, including students. This study aims to analyze the influence og Islamic da’wah content on TikTok on the religious understanding of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tembelang. In addition, it examines both the positive and negative impact arising from students’ habits of consuming such content. The main focus of this research is to determine the extent to which exposure to digital da’wah contributes to students’ understanding of Islamic teaching, both in terms of knowledge and behavioral changes. This study uses a quantitative method with a simple linear regression approach involving 32 seventh grade students. The result show that TikTok based da’wah content has a positive and significant effect on students’ Islamic understanding (p = 0.003 < 0.05). the regression coefficient (0.750) indicates that increased exposure to da’wah content is associated with higher levels of religious understabding. Additionally, the findings reveal that the positive impact outweigh the negative ones, particularly in improving students’ awareness to act in accordance with Islamic teachings.
