<![CDATA[Pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers involves not only the ability to deliver instructional content but also the ability to establish learning interactions that respect students’ characteristics, needs, and potential. Based on the conditions identified at SDN 2 Semayan, there is a need to strengthen teachers’ understanding of a learning approach that places greater emphasis on human values in the educational process. This community service activity aimed to strengthen teachers’ understanding of the humanistic learning approach and basic humanistic values that can be applied in learning interactions. The activity was conducted through preparation, material presentation, discussion, and exploration and reflection on humanistic values. The materials covered the basic concepts of humanistic learning, empathy, respect for students, care, tolerance, positive communication, and the creation of a safe learning environment. The results indicated strengthened participants’ understanding and awareness of the importance of humanistic values in developing positive learning interactions. The discussion also provided opportunities for teachers to relate humanistic principles to their experiences in elementary school learning. This activity is important as an initial effort to strengthen teachers’ pedagogical competence and encourage more student-centered learning that supports students’ overall development.]]>
