<![CDATA[Drug offender rehabilitation aims to restore individuals' physical, psychological, and social functioning, enabling them to reintegrate into society and resume productive lives. The effectiveness of this process is influenced by multiple factors, including the competence of health promotion officers, which encompasses knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes. This study examined the competency profile of health promotion officers and analysed its relationship with rehabilitation outcomes among inmates at Class II B Bantaeng Prison. A quantitative descriptive correlational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving all 30 inmates participating in the rehabilitation program through total sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires assessing officers' competencies and rehabilitation success, then analysed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multivariate regression. The findings showed that officers demonstrated good competency, with mean scores of 17.03 for knowledge, 13.00 for skills, and 8.73 for attitudes. The mean rehabilitation success score was 12.33, indicating a moderately good outcome. Statistical analysis revealed no significant relationship between officers' competencies and rehabilitation success, either individually or collectively (p 0.05). However, officers' knowledge and attitudes were strongly and positively correlated (r = 0.632; p = 0.000). Overall, officers' competencies explained only 3.4% of the variation in rehabilitation outcomes, suggesting that rehabilitation success is more strongly influenced by factors such as inmates' motivation, family support, psychological condition, social environment, and the quality of rehabilitation program implementation.
