Abstract

Indonesia still has considerable health development challenges, notably in the areas of hygiene and sanitation. As a result, a comprehensive sanitation strategy is required. The government altered its national sanitation development strategy from sectoral concentration to hardware subsidies, which have failed to influence hygienic behavior and access to sanitation. This evolved into a community-based sanitation system that stressed five (five) factors, including the elimination of open defecation, proper management of drinking water and household food, hand washing with soap, proper waste management, and safe domestic liquid waste management. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the effect of predisposing factors, which included elements of knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions, on the five STBM pillars. To determine the effect of STBM triggering, a quantitative observational design using a cross sectional study technique was adopted. The findings indicated that knowledge, attitudes, family support, and assistance from health care professionals were all strongly associated with STBM application. Meanwhile, statistical analyses indicate that the number of dependents, employment status, income, and water availability are unrelated to the application of STBM. With a significant value (sig.=0.000) or p<0.010 and Exp(B)=12,267, knowledge is the most influential variable on STBM implementation. As a conclusion, respondents' knowledge of the implementation of STBM is the most influential factor in the implementation of STBM. It is hoped that all parties, particularly family members and health staff, would encourage and help one another, motivating the community to constantly preserve sanitation in their surroundings.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. With data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The technique of checking the validity of the data used is the triangulation technique. The data analysis technique used in this study is an interactive model. The results of the study show that the performance of the Partnership-Based Innovation Laboratory (Labinov Beken) has been able to improve the quality of Makassar City Government well, but still needs improvement in supporting its implementation. This is reflected in the input indicators owned by the Partnership-Based Innovation Laboratory (Labinov Beken) which have been good in terms of Human Resources, Financial, and existing regulations that have supported the implementation of this Labinov Beken. When viewed in terms of output indicators, Labinov Beken has given birth to various regional innovations, but there are still Regional Innovation Programs that have not run optimally. In terms of outcome indicators (outcomes), Labinov Beken has been able to provide service satisfaction to the community and accelerate the economy and increase development in the Makassar City Region. Besides that, from the indicators of benefits (benefits), Labinov Beken has provided benefits as a vehicle for stimulating the atmosphere for the birth of innovations that can overcome obstacles to the implementation of programs and activities. Then in terms of impact indicators (impacts), Labinov Beken has had a positive impact with the birth of various regional innovations that have the potential to advance the quality of government, but there is still a negative impact because a small number of ASN are unable to adapt to changing their work style following the development of existing innovations.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the role of universities, business entities/private parties, urban village officers/pamong and non-governmental organizations as stakeholders in the management of sustainable environmental hygiene in the city of Makassar. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires through interviews and FGDs. Apart from that, documentation materials such as: program documents and reports on activities that have been carried out by each stakeholder are also used. Based on the results of the research, the stakeholders stated that there were 4 (four) categories of important roles and functions of environmental cleaning organizations in Makassar City, namely: (1) as a control function for urban environmental hygiene institutions, (2) these institutions are responsible for cleanliness of the Makassar city environment, (3) so that municipal solid waste can be managed efficiently and effectively, and (4) the existence of an environmental cleaning organization and functioning properly will be able to manage urban environmental cleanliness in a sustainable manner. The roles of universities, the private sector, government officials and NGOs as stakeholders in supporting local governments towards community empowerment show a tendency towards a low category. Based on the Fisher contingency test results, it can be concluded that there is a significant role for stakeholders in community empowerment in sustainable environmental hygiene management, especially urban waste.

Abstract

According to WHO, the primary causes of stunting in children under five years old include infections, insufficient infant and child feeding practises, and poor maternal health and nutrition. This study aimed to investigate the use of Technology as a health promotion strategy for stunting knowledge in nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used an analytic study using a quasi-experimental study. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample in this study was 22 respondents in health university students, with a total population of 45 respondents. The findings revealed that the use of animation-based technology in health promotion can help nursing science students at the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery of Megarezky University learn more about stunting, including how to provide children with enough nutrition and how to parent stunted children. Animation-based Technology makes information easier to understand and allows for repetition; it has an impact on nursing students' understanding of stunting and how to promote health effectively.
