Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the contribution of Technological Tools and Environmental Conditions to the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based digital transformation process at PT. Asuransi Sinarmas. Global and national trends indicate high AI adoption in the workplace; however, the failure rate for organizational digitalization remains high. Meanwhile, scholarly literature regarding AI implementation specifically within Indonesia's insurance sector remains relatively limited. This deductive quantitative study employs a cross-sectional survey strategy, adapting the "Technology" and "Environment" dimensions of the TOE (Technology-Organization-Environment) framework. A sample of 52 operational partners was selected via purposive sampling based on Slovin's formula. Data processing involved descriptive statistics, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, as well as t-tests and F-tests using SPSS software. The findings indicate that, individually, the Technological Tools variable has a positive and significant effect on AI-based digital transformation (tcount = 4,962; Sig. = 0,000). Conversely, Environmental Conditions do not have a significant individual effect (tcount = 0,834; Sig. 0,408). However, when considered simultaneously, Technological Tools and Environmental Conditions exert a positive and significant influence on AI-based digital transformation (Fcount = 15,560; Sig. = 0,000), with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 37,9%. The study's novelty lies in its specific application of the TOE framework's Technology and Environment dimensions to analyze AI-driven digital transformation within the context of the national insurance industry.
