Abstract

PT. Niaga Nusa Abadi is a company engaged in sales, distribution and marketing. Established in 2012. It is known that PT. Niaga Nusa Abadi has never carried out an energy audit since the company was founded. After collecting data, it can be seen that the lighting and air conditioning in several rooms do not comply with SNI standards. Energy audit technique used to calculate the amount of energy consumption in a building. Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE) is the quotient between total energy consumption during a certain period (one year) and the building area. The IKE unit is kWh/m2 per year. Energy saving opportunities are the potential to reduce energy use in a particular system or process in an efficient manner without compromising comfort. PT. Niaga Nusa Abadi has an area of 713.42 m2, an office with an area of 139.5 m2 and a warehouse with an area of 574.24 m2. After carrying out calculations, it can be seen that the initial energy audit is 52.77 Kwh/m2 per year. Carrying out detailed energy audit calculations of 46.79 Kwh/m2 per year. Recalculating the energy audit after carrying out improvements to lighting and air conditioning, it was found to be 52.27 Kwh/m2 per year. After making improvements to the lighting system and air system (AC), it is ideal and meets SNI standards. IKE after making improvements amounting to 52.27 kWh/m2 per year. IKE after carrying out repairs experienced an increase of 10% but the suitability and comfort of building users can be fulfilled and can increase user productivity

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the quality control of wood pallet products at PT. Azdhi Kayu Kreasi by using the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) approaches. The problem faced by the company is the high level of product defects that can reduce customer satisfaction and increase production costs. The RCA method is used to identify the root cause of product defects, while SPC is used to monitor and control the production process. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, questionnaires, and internal company documentation. The data were analyzed using P charts, Pareto diagrams, and fishbone diagrams. The results showed that the main cause of product defects was wood cracking, which was caused by factors such as poor raw material quality, production process errors, and unsuitable environmental conditions. The implementation of RCA and SPC proved effective in identifying and reducing the causes of product defects. By making improvements to the production process and selecting better raw materials, the product defect rate can be significantly reduced. This research makes a practical contribution to the company in improving product quality and production process efficiency.

Abstract

In the power generation industry, the reliability of machines and equipment is crucial to maintaining a continuous production process. At Suralaya Coal-Fired Power Plant (PLTU Suralaya), one of the critical components in the coal combustion system is the Pulverizer. Based on data from the year 2024, Pulverizer B in Unit 2 recorded the highest number of failures. To address this issue, an analysis was conducted using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach. The RCM stages include Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Logic Tree Analysis (LTA), and Task Selection (TS). The results of the FMEA indicated that the Pyrite System had the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN), with a value of 217. Based on the LTA and TS results, the Pyrite System was categorized as a component that could cause a shutdown, but its failures are still detectable. Therefore, a condition-based maintenance strategy, or Condition Directed Maintenance, was determined to be appropriate. For the Pyrite System, calculations of Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) were also conducted, with results showing an MTTR of 2.42 hours and an MTBF of 201.75 hours (approximately 8 days). Additionally, the inspection interval was set at every 188.95 hours (7 days).
