Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline and employee training on employee performance at Salon Blush by Valeria in Jakarta. The independent variables in this study are work discipline and employee training, while the dependent variable is employee performance. This study applies a quantitative method with a causal associative approach. The population covers all 30 employees of Salon Blush by Valeria. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling, so the entire population serves as respondents. The researcher collected data through a Likert-scale questionnaire and processed it using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination with SPSS. The analysis produces the regression equation Y = 2.404 + 0.494 X1 + 0.470 X2. The t-test proves that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (t = 2.138; Sig. 0.042 < 0.05). Employee training also has a positive and significant effect (t = 2.942; Sig. 0.007 < 0.05). The F-test shows that both variables simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance (F = 28.924; Sig. < 0.001). The R Square value of 0.682 indicates that work discipline and employee training explain 68.2% of the variation in employee performance, while other factors outside this study influence the remaining 31.8%. Salons are advised to continuously improve employee discipline and training.
