<![CDATA[Firefighters have high job demands, including 24-hour readiness, heavy workloads, and exposure to emergency situations that may increase the risk of burnout, particularly when these demands are not balanced by adequate work-life balance. This study aimed to examine the relationship between work-life balance and burnout among firefighters in Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design involving 151 firefighters selected using a purposive sampling technique. The Work-life balance Scale consisted of 17 valid items with an Aiken's V validity coefficient of ≥ 0.70 and a reliability coefficient of 0.897, while the Burnout Scale consisted of 13 valid items with an Aiken's V validity coefficient of ≥ 0.70 and a reliability coefficient of 0.791. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed (p = 0.200 > 0.05), and the linearity test confirmed a linear relationship (p = 0.278 > 0.05). Therefore, the data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results revealed a significant negative relationship between work-life balance and burnout (r = -0.774; p = 0.000 < 0.05). The negative correlation indicates that the higher the firefighters' work-life balance, the lower their level of burnout. Conversely, the lower the work-life balance, the higher the level of burnout. Therefore, H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted, indicating that work-life balance has a significant negative relationship with burnout among firefighters in Jakarta.]]>
