Abstract

This study aims to analyze the accuracy of the meaning of words in the Qur'an Translation of Dayak Kanayatn (QT BDK) using interlingual semantic analysis. The main problem focuses on how the lexical equivalents in QT BDK accurately represent the meaning of the Qur'an, both grammatically and contextually. This research is a qualitative study with a literature study that uses QT BDK and native Dayak Kanayatn speakers as primary data sources, especially converts in West Kalimantan. Secondary data includes official translations of the Qur'an, Arabic dictionaries, mu'jam, and books of tafsir. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive-analytical techniques through four stages: object determination, data limitation and selection, lexical decomposition, and comparative analysis with primary and secondary sources. This study examined 37 words in Juz 30 and found three main categories: (1) redaction of words that differ but have the same meaning (musytarak), (2) words that are the same but have different meanings contextually, and (3) grammatical words. The results of the study show that QT BDK is able to apply lexical-contextual semantic principles consistently and contains interlingual principles while maintaining the fidelity of the meaning of the verse and adjusting to the nuances of the Dayak Kanayatn speakers' culture. These findings suggest that BDK QT translations have a strong tendency for accuracy and indicate linguistic-cultural relevance, although some aspects still require further verification to ensure consistency of meaning in various verse contexts
