Abstract

The general objective of this study was to improve the ability of fifth-grade elementary school students to appreciate narrative texts through a content-based approach. Specifically, the study aimed to assess students' ability to identify the elements constituting a story and the values ​​contained within it, as well as their ability to provide written responses regarding the story's content. Following the implementation of the content-based approach in literature appreciation lessons, the results were as follows: (1) 80% of the students correctly identified the elements constituting the story; (2) 75% of the students correctly identified the values ​​contained in the story; and (3) 80% of the students provided written responses regarding the story's content using clear, chronological language.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of students' learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement in class V at SD NURUL ULUM SURABAYA. This study used a quantitative approach. The quantitative approach has the aim of examining theories, establishing facts, showing relationships between variables, providing statistical descriptions, predicting and predicting results. Research designs that require a quantitative approach must be structured, standardized, formal, and carefully designed in advance. This study was to examine the effect of variable X (learning motivation) on variable Y (Students' Mathematics Learning Achievement). Meanwhile, to examine the effect of each variable using a simple linear regression analysis technique.The reason for choosing this type of research is because researchers want to know how much influence learning motivation has on students' mathematics learning achievement. This study consists of two variables, namely the independent variable (X) namely learning motivation and the dependent variable (Y) namely the mathematics learning achievement of class V students at SD NURUL ULUM SURABAYA.
