General Background: Science education in elementary schools requires active and innovative learning tools to support students' cognitive development. Specific Background: Conventional teaching methods and text-dominated presentations often fail to concretize abstract natural science concepts such as solar system phenomena. Knowledge Gap: Despite high student readiness for digital technology, traditional instruction frequently leaves learners with insufficient visualization support, hindering their higher-order cognitive progress. Aims: This study aimed to develop valid, practical, and effective educational animated video media utilizing the Canva application to improve fifth-grade students' science critical thinking skills. Results: Utilizing the ADDIE development model, expert validations confirmed high product validity, while teacher and student responses demonstrated high practicality. Furthermore, students' mean critical thinking scores advanced from 58.69 to 78.42, corroborated by a significant paired-sample t-test ($p < 0.001$) and a moderate N-Gain score of 0.48. Novelty: The study introduces a dynamic digital visualization tool specifically tailored via Canva to bridge abstract cosmic concepts with elementary learners through interactive multimedia integration. Implications: The findings demonstrate that digital animation media serves as a viable, scalable alternative for modernizing science instruction and fostering essential reasoning skills in primary education.
