<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the concept of riba in Fiqh al-Muamalat from an Islamic education perspective and examine its relevance to the challenges of the modern global economic system. This study employs a qualitative library research method by examining the Qur’an, Hadith, classical and contemporary Fiqh al-Muamalat literature, Islamic education literature, and relevant scholarly publications. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify the conceptual, educational, and contextual dimensions of riba. The findings demonstrate that understanding riba requires more than recognizing its legal prohibition; it requires contextual Islamic economic literacy that enables learners to identify contemporary forms of riba in banking, credit, digital financial services, and global economic transactions. Islamic education plays a strategic role in developing critical awareness, ethical reasoning, and responsible financial behavior based on justice, honesty, and avoidance of exploitation. The novelty of this study lies in developing an integrative framework that positions Islamic education as an instrument for contextualizing Fiqh al-Muamalat and strengthening learners’ critical understanding of riba within contemporary global economic practices. The study concludes that integrating riba education with contemporary economic realities can strengthen the relevance of Islamic education in preparing learners to make ethical and Sharia-compliant economic decisions.]]>
