Direct midwife assistance in childbirth services is seen as a strategy that can improve the competence and experience of maternity mothers, so that it can have a positive impact on the quality of services in health facilities The goal to increase the knowledge and competence of participants in providing clean and safe childbirth services. This community service activity uses a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design to evaluate changes in self-competence and the ability to implement safe and clean childbirth services after participating in the Mentoring program. After the implementation of mentoring, there was a change in knowledge improvement. Participants with high-category knowledge increased from 20 people (66.0%) to 30 people (100.0%), or an increase of 34%. The medium category also decreased from 10 people (33.0%) to 0 people (0.0%). There was an increase in the number of participants who reached the competent category after mentoring. Before mentoring, 18 participants (60%) were in the competent category, while after mentoring it increased to 100 participants (100%). The change shows a shift in participants from the medium category to the high category. The results show that the mentoring activities carried out are able to increase the capacity of participants in understanding and implementing clean and safe childbirth services. The educational method accompanied by education, mentoring and discussion of case resolution and providing feedback provides an opportunity for participants to not only receive information, but also try and apply the knowledge gained.]]>
