<![CDATA[Physical characterization is essential to ensure the quality, stability, and usability of herbal hair tonic formulations. However, information regarding the effect of pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) extract concentration on the physical characteristics of hair tonic remains limited. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the physical characteristics of pomegranate extract hair tonic, determine the effect of extract concentration on its physical quality and identify the optimum formulation. Methods: An experimental laboratory study was conducted using six formulations consisting of one control and five formulations containing 2%, 2.5%, 3%, 3.5%, and 4% pomegranate extract. Physical evaluations included organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, weight, and stability using the cycling test. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. Results: All formulations exhibited good organoleptic properties, homogeneous appearance, and satisfactory physical stability after the cycling test. The pH values ranged from 4.70 to 5.20, while all viscosity values were below 5 cP. Statistical analysis demonstrated that extract concentration significantly affected pH, viscosity, and weight (p < 0.05). The formulation containing 4% pomegranate extract showed the best overall physical characteristics. Conclusion: Pomegranate extract was successfully formulated into a stable hair tonic with acceptable physical characteristics. The 4% extract formulation demonstrated the most favorable physical quality and stability.]]>
