Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the communicative approach in Arabic language learning and to examine the relevance of language acquisition theory to modern teaching practices. The method employed is qualitative research with a descriptive approach through literature review and observation of classroom learning practices, and the data were analyzed using triangulation to obtain a comprehensive understanding. The results indicate that the communicative approach has a strong alignment with the principles of language acquisition theory, particularly in promoting contextual, interactive, and meaningful language use, thereby enhancing students’ communicative competence; however, its implementation still faces challenges such as limited resources, teacher readiness, and learning environments that are not yet fully supportive.
