Abstract

Interactive learning resources are becoming more prevalent in primary science teaching due to the rapid growth of digital technology. Many primary school students still have a hard time understanding abstract ideas about electrical circuits because the way teachers usually teach is not very engaging and doesn't include much hands-on or interactive materials. This study tried to create and check how well interactive learning materials made with Google Sites work for teaching electrical circuits to sixth graders. The study used a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The material created included several interactive elements like PhET simulations, teaching videos, digital handouts, HTML5-based resources, and quizzes to check understanding, all placed together on one Google Sites page. The product's possibility was checked by experts, and its results were tested using a special method that compared students before and after using it, with a group that didn't use it and 40 sixth graders involved. The validation results showed that the learning content received a feasibility score of 92%, and the material design got a score of 80% Both scores were considered good enough for use in a classroom setting. The experimental group demonstrated a substantial improvement in learning outcomes, with the mean score increasing from 40.38 on the initial test to 86.42 on the final test, while the control group improved from 39.60 to 77.40. Furthermore, the Mann-Whitney U test revealed a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups (p = 0.000 < 0.05), indicating that the Google Sites-based learning materials significantly improved students' understanding of electrical circuit concepts. These findings suggest that integrating Google Sites with interactive multimedia components provides an effective, accessible, and engaging digital learning environment that supports conceptual understanding and promotes meaningful science learning in primary education.
