This study aimed to analyze the implementation of modern principal leadership in improving school quality at SDN Sungai Kitano 1. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations of the school environment and managerial practices, interviews with the principal and teachers, and document analysis of school programs, supervision records, and learning activities. Data were analyzed through data reduction, thematic categorization, data display, verification, and triangulation of sources and techniques. The findings show that the principal implemented modern leadership by strengthening the school quality vision, encouraging participatory decision making, conducting academic supervision, supporting teacher professional development, building open communication, promoting educational technology, strengthening a disciplined school culture, and collaborating with parents and the community. These practices supported school quality improvement by creating a more conducive learning climate, increasing teacher motivation, strengthening school collaboration, and developing students’ academic and nonacademic achievement. The main supporting factors included the principal’s commitment, teacher support, parental participation, and collaborative work culture. The main constraints included limited facilities, funding, and uneven digital competence among teachers. The study confirms that adaptive, democratic, collaborative, and learning-oriented modern leadership is an important strategy for improving the quality of elementary schools.
