Abstract

Dengue fever is a disease caused by the dengue virus transmitted by the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictu mosquitoes. The incidence of dengue fever in Indonesia as of week 22 of 2022 was 45,387 cases, while deaths due to dengue fever reached 432 cases. The Ministry of Health reported that in Indonesia, cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) reached 71,633 as of July 2020. According to data from the Minut Health Office (Dinkes), a total of 364 dengue fever cases were detected throughout 2024. The Tatelu Community Health Center (Puskesmas) is an area with a high dengue fever prevalence. In 2022, 27 cases were detected, increasing to 67 in 2023. In 2024, the number increased dramatically, reaching 110 cases between January and May 2024. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the implementation of 4M Plus and the incidence of dengue fever at the Tatelu Community Health Center. The study used a quantitative method with an analytical observational study design, a cross-sectional study, and was conducted from February to March 2026. A sample of 71 people was selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria using a purposive sampling technique. The Chi-square test yielded a p-value for the relationship between 4M Plus implementation and dengue fever incidence of 0.000. Based on this study, it can be concluded that there is a meaningful relationship between the implementation of 4M Plus and the incidence of DHF at the Tatelu Community Health Center.
