Abstract

Teacher professional competence is an essential factor in improving the quality of learning and achieving educational goals. This study aims to map teacher professional competencies and analyze their implications for learning quality at SDN Tanjungrejo 2. This study employed a qualitative research approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies involving the principal and teachers. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while source triangulation was applied to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that teacher professional competency mapping is implemented through academic supervision, teacher portfolio assessment, teaching certificates, and professional development records. The results show that most teachers have competencies aligned with their educational background and teaching responsibilities. However, challenges remain in the utilization of educational technology, particularly among some senior teachers. The school addresses these challenges through peer mentoring, training apppctivities, and continuous professional development programs. The study concludes that systematic teacher professional competency mapping contributes positively to improving learning quality by supporting appropriate teacher placement, targeted competency development, and more effective instructional practices.
