Abstract

This study examines GIS-based spatial mapping as an instrument of da'wah management to identify religious service gaps in Kampung Cipulus RW 09, a transitional rural community in Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia (487 residents; 3 RTs; 100% Muslim). GPS field surveys and participatory social mapping documented all da'wah resources, analysed in QGIS 3.22 using four spatial methods: kernel density estimation, buffer analysis, network analysis, and Moran's Index autocorrelation. Findings show a single mosque serves all 487 residents; 285 participants (58.5%) join pengajian, yet instructor quality remains inadequate and no formal TPA or pesantren exists. Moran's I = 0.38 (p < 0.05) confirms service inequality is spatially clustered—not random—reflecting structural gaps rooted in the kampung's agrarian-to-industrial transition. GIS-based mapping offers da'wah managers an evidence-based, replicable framework for resource planning in transitional Muslim communities.
