Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of numeracy literacy skills on the academic achievement scores of 11th-grade students at MAN 1 Sleman in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study employs a quantitative approach using an ex-post facto research design. The study population consisted of 211 11th-grade students, while the sample was Class XI F1, comprising 30 students. Data collection was conducted through a numeracy literacy test and an academic achievement test. Data analysis involved normality tests, linearity tests, and simple linear regression. The results of the normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test showed that the numerical literacy ability data obtained a significance value of 0.363 > 0.05 and the learning achievement data obtained a value of 0.231 > 0.05, indicating that both datasets are normally distributed. The results of the linearity test showed a deviation from linearity value of 0.612 > 0.05, meaning the relationship between the two variables is linear. Furthermore, the results of the simple linear regression test showed a significance value of 0.591 > 0.05, indicating that numeracy literacy skills do not have a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. Nevertheless, numeracy literacy skills have a positive relationship with students’ learning outcomes.
