Abstract

The Bright Training Program is a community service activity designed to improve the research and entrepreneurial capacity of Indonesian students who are members of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The main problems faced by participants include limited understanding of research methodology, low ability to write systematic scientific papers, and suboptimal skills in developing and marketing digital-based businesses. To address these issues, this program is implemented using a participatory approach through several stages: identifying participant needs, joint planning, practice-based training (hands-on training), and ongoing mentoring. The results of the activity show a significant increase in participant skills, particularly in preparing research proposals, developing more structured business plans, and utilizing digital media as an effective marketing tool. Furthermore, this program also encourages changes in participants' mindsets to become more critical, innovative, adaptive, and collaborative in facing academic and entrepreneurial challenges. Furthermore, this activity also helps give rise to various group initiatives and strengthens the active role of students as agents of change in the community.
