Abstract

Cooperatives as a pillar of the people’s economy still face challenges in financial management, particularly related to low accountability and transparency, which affect their performance. This condition is also found in Golo Mangung Village, North Lamba Leda District, East Manggarai Regency, where cooperative managers lack proper financial recording and reporting systems. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of cooperative managers and members in financial management based on accountability and transparency principles. The method used is a participatory approach through training, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. The results show that participants experienced significant improvement in understanding and practical skills, especially in transaction recording, financial reporting, and the implementation of transparency principles. Additionally, the activity increased awareness of financial responsibility and strengthened members’ trust in the cooperative. Therefore, this training contributes positively to improving cooperative performance in a sustainable manner.
