Abstract

Since industrial area around Bekasi-Karawang-Purwakarta enhanced, it is necessary considering the review of alternate optimally function of the forest production as conservation area. It is important due to existence of District autonomy which can arrange the plan and manages natural resources and not only for environment, but also from economic and social aspects. The reasons are (1) benefit in enjoying transportation view; clean air along journey with green plantations, (2) indirectly as media education and counselling for how important of existence forest, (3) production of wood yield cannot real supplier that could answer demand wood requirement, (4) wood product unfavourable quality, (5) of [his/its] function for environmental health as absorber of dirty air as effect of air pollution from industrial and the reduce noise, ( 6) function of natural beauty with variation of other life’s and birds. Others benefit among others are (1) laboratory of various target of biological research and conservation, ( 2) medium of development for recreation service , ( 3) sample for environmental greening movement in more proactive and ( 4) civilizing movement for all birds flown freely.

Abstract

Jamboree Campsite Cibubur (BUPERTA) is located on the outskirts of Cibubur City which provides good suitable for birds. This study aims to study the diversity of bird species and identify habitat characteristics. Methods used are counting method, MacKinnon type list, habitat profile creation and interview. Shannon-Wiener's diversity index is obtained with a value of 2.921in the high category of it in a region. Number of bird species recorded as many as 22 species of birds. Category of easy type meeting types such as types of coconut honey, bondol java, bird church, cucak kutilang. The use of some types of tree strata such as feeding location, playground or chatting with each other and resting location, but not always the birds use only one type of habitat but there are some birds that use some habitat type in their daily activities. is carried out to see how vegetation shape and environmental conditions become the observation plot. The result vegetation analysis was obtained the identified tree level is 9 species. This refers to the background of the urban forest area that was once a rubber plantation. Level of dominance type rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) amounted to 14 individuals. The Import Value Index (INP) of vegetation analysis for plant type pole level with highest INP value is rubber of 54.08%, while the second highest pole is eboni (Diospyros celebica) of 48.13%.

Abstract

Perception and Behavior of Indigenous People to Indigenous Forest Management are essential to maintaining the sustainability of forest functions. The aims of this study were to describe and explain the perception and behavior of indigenous peoples to indigenous forest management. The Data were conducted by interview and observation which analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the indigenous people of Kasepuhan Pasir Eurih had a high perception of the community with a percentage of 90% - 93.34% indicated by a good understanding that their lives depend on indigenous forest resources and want to sustain the resources. The number of community’s dependence on indigenous forest ecosystems is very high, especially in sustaining its economic life. While high behavior with percentage is about 73.33% - 93.33% which means that the community is very understanding of conservation activities in indigenous forest management.

Abstract

Development of Ecotourism Program at Mandalawangi Resort of Mount Gede Pangrango National Park (TNGGP) is done by optimizing the supply of tourist collaborated with tourist demand. Tourism resource most interesting at Resort Mandalawangi namely Puncak Gunung Gede - Pangrango then others are rare animals such as Leopards java (Panthera pardus) is the key species and Javan Gibbon (Hylobates Molloch) as a flagship species, as well as waterfalls, crater, Blue Lake, and Gayonggong Swamp. Social and cultural potential of a pattern of community life Sundanese-oriented agriculture as well as the existence of the mythical legend of the kingdom in TNGGP. Visitors dominant male, student status with the last education of SMP / MTs, 16-20-year-old, from Bekasi to have the motivation tends to settle for pleasure. Assess visitors tend not to know that TNGGP have ecotourism program that School Visit, Visit to School, Conservation Camp, Local Content Filling Material Environmental Education / Nature Conservation and Environmental Education for Teachers, Farmers, and the Young Generation. The concept of program development of ecotourism in Resort Mandalawangi using the theme "TNGGP, Cultured Conservation Area". This concept will focus on the utilization of resources and nature taking into consideration the safety of visitors as well as integrate with shades of Sundanese culture around tourism area Cibodas. Another aspect that needs to be developed to support the promotion of ecotourism programs, establish Sundanese cultural nuances and supporting infrastructure at KWC, strengthening human resources ecotourism program managers. Keywords: development, ecotourism, potential, program, TNGGP
