Abstract

The limited availability of interactive learning media about Iskandar Muda Fortress is one of the challenges in introducing local history to the public. Iskandar Muda Fortress is a historical site in Aceh with significant historical value as a legacy of the Aceh Sultanate and an important part of the region’s history. This study focuses on designing a 360° camera-based virtual tour as a digital learning medium that enables users to explore the environment of Iskandar Muda Fortress virtually through 360° panoramas. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The Lapentor platform was used to develop the virtual tour by utilizing 360° panoramic photographs captured with a 360° camera. Data were collected using questionnaires with a 5-point Likert scale to assess media feasibility through material expert validation, media expert validation, and user testing. The material expert validation obtained a score of 94.5%, while the media expert validation obtained 92.5%, both categorized as very good. User testing involving 30 respondents resulted in an average score of 94.1%, indicating that the media has an attractive appearance, is easy to use, and is beneficial as a historical learning medium. The results indicate that the 360° camera-based Virtual Tour of Iskandar Muda Fortress developed using the Lapentor platform is feasible as an alternative digital learning medium for introducing local history and increasing public interest in historical and cultural sites in Aceh.
