Abstract

School libraries play a strategic role in supporting the success of the School Literacy Movement (GLS), serving not only as centers for learning resources but also as vehicles for shaping students' character. In the context of Islamic education, library management should be directed toward integrating Islamic values into various literacy programs, thereby strengthening the reading culture while simultaneously fostering students' religious character. This study aims to analyze library management in support of an Islamic-value-based School Literacy Movement at SMP Negeri 3 Ajibarang. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, involving the school principal, library staff, teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was verified through source and technique triangulation. The research findings indicate that: (1) library planning and organization are carried out systematically to support the implementation of the Islamic-based School Literacy Movement (GLS) through the provision of relevant collections, programs, and resource management; (2) library service delivery integrates Islamic values into various literacy activities, such as providing reading materials with Islamic themes, fostering reading habits, and conducting reflection activities based on the reading content; and (3) library evaluation and development.
