<![CDATA[Objective: This study aims to analyze and describe in depth the management of student talent and interest development through journalism extracurricular activities at SMA Kebangsaan Tangerang Selatan, focusing on the pillars of planning, organizing, implementation, evaluation, obstacles, and strategic solutions. Method: This study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach. Data were gathered through observation, structured interviews, and documentation. Research subjects included the Principal, Vice Principal of Student Affairs, internal supervisors, external coaches, and students participating in the journalism extracurricular program. Results: The findings indicate that: (1) The planning stage begins during the School Environment Orientation (MPLS) using talent-interest questionnaires (needs assessment), followed by formulating the activity calendar and the School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAS). (2) The implementation stage, coordinated by the Vice Principal of Student Affairs, involves regular practice sessions (direct practice) every Thursday afternoon, supported by a student credit point system to maintain attendance consistency. (3) The evaluation stage combines monthly process control (journals and attendance) with final semester evaluations integrated into student report cards and track records of achievements. Scheduling conflicts and facility limitations are addressed through strict re-scheduling policies, external partnerships, and achievement-based scholarships.]]>
