Abstract

Objective: Digital transformation in education has changed the way schools are managed and requires adaptive leadership and organizational values capable of strengthening teachers’ professional behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital leadership and organizational culture on teachers’ work discipline in public junior high schools during the digital transformation era. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 111 teachers from public junior high schools in Sekampung District, East Lampung Regency. The entire population was selected as the research sample using total sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires based on a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of JASP software. Results: The findings revealed that digital leadership and organizational culture simultaneously had a significant effect on teachers’ work discipline (F = 52.55; p < 0.001), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.493. Partially, organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on teachers’ work discipline (β = 0.613; p < 0.001), while digital leadership did not show a statistically significant direct effect (β = 0.099; p = 0.184). Novelty: This study contributes empirical evidence that strengthening teacher work discipline in digital education transformation is not solely determined by technological-oriented leadership but is strongly influenced by organizational culture as a behavioral foundation within schools.
