Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of learning facilities and parental support on student learning outcomes at SMAK Iman Hoineno, Nunkolo District, TTS Regency, both partially and simultaneously. Methods: A quantitative correlational design was used, involving 55 students of grade X and XI selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires for learning facilities (X1) and parental support (X2), and mid-semester exam scores for learning outcomes (Y), then analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS 27. Results: Learning facilities partially had a significant positive effect on learning outcomes (t = 2.586, Sig. = 0.013; R² = 0.112), while parental support had no significant partial effect (t = −0.333, Sig. = 0.740). Simultaneously, both variables significantly affected learning outcomes (F = 3.348, Sig. = 0.043; R² = 0.114), with the regression equation Ŷ = 54.595 + 0.229X1 − 0.034X2. Novelty: This study reveals that the limited effect of parental support is contextually linked to the hilly topography of the research area and parents' work as dryland farmers, offering a geographically and occupationally grounded explanation rarely addressed in prior studies on this topic.
