Abstract

The progress of teaching tools requires creative methods to enhance student enthusiasm for learning, especially in the fields of Natural and Social Sciences. Interactive tools, like the Smart Box, can provide captivating educational experiences while promoting student engagement. This research intends to evaluate the efficacy of the Smart Box in stimulating the interest of third-grade learners in IPAS and to contrast it with traditional teaching methods. A quantitative method was utilized, implementing a true experimental design with pretest and posttest for a control group. Information was gathered using Likert scales before and after the intervention involving 55 students segregated into experimental and control sections. Data examination included preliminary testing, testing of hypotheses, and N-Gain evaluation. Findings reveal that the rise in interest in learning within the experimental group surpassed that of the control group. Moreover, the Smart Box facilitated increased student involvement, excitement, and participation in the classes. Therefore, the Smart Box proves to be an effective educational tool for boosting the interest of third-grade elementary pupils in learning IPAS.
