Abstract

Objective: This research deeply examines the principal's leadership style and its influence on teacher discipline in preparing learning administration at SD Negeri 1 Sri Kencono, Kecamatan Bumi Nabung, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. The purpose is to analyze leadership style, evaluate teachers' administrative discipline levels, and identify this leadership's impact on document preparation. Methods: This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The research subjects include the school principal and teachers. Data analysis applies the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing stages. Results: The principal evidently applies a democratic leadership style focusing on exemplary attitudes, open communication, and academic supervision. Teacher discipline is clearly visible from punctuality, file completeness, procedural adherence, and responsibility. This leadership style significantly encourages increased teacher discipline through modeling and continuous supervision. Novelty: This research contextualizes democratic leadership mechanisms, specifically active modeling, communication, and continuous supervision, as practical solutions to overcome time constraints and teachers' workloads when completing school administrative tasks.
