Abstract

This study analyzes the partial and simultaneous effects of principal supervision and the role of the school committee on teacher performance at SMP IPTEK Tangsel. A quantitative associative design was applied to all 30 teachers using saturated sampling. Data were collected through validated and reliable closed questionnaires and analyzed with descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality testing, multicollinearity and Glejser tests, simple and multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination using IBM SPSS Statistics 24. Principal supervision positively and significantly affected teacher performance (t = 5.442; p < 0.001; R² = 0.514). The school committee role also had a positive and significant effect (t = 2.884; p = 0.007; R² = 0.229). Simultaneously, both predictors significantly affected teacher performance (F = 20.994; p < 0.001; R² = 0.609). The study integrates internal academic supervision and external school-community participation within one empirical model, demonstrating that their synergy explains 60.9% of teacher-performance variation at the junior secondary school level.
