Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials assisted by Microsoft Sway and see the effectiveness of these teaching materials in learning productive language skills. This research is motivated by the limitations of productive language skills teaching materials, especially in the aspect of writing, which are relevant and contextual in accordance with current learning demands. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The results of the study showed that the teaching materials for productive language skills in the aspect of writing assisted by Microsoft Way were very feasible with scores from material experts of 85% and media experts of 94%. The results of the product trial showed that students' writing skills improved after using the teaching materials. This can be seen from the results of the wilcoxon test obtained a significance value of <.001 smaller than 0.05, and the results of the average value of the N-Gain test of 0.72 are in the high category. When viewed from the n-gain percentage results, these results are included in the effective category. In addition, based on the results of the student response questionnaire, it was shown that students responded very well with a score of 86.8% to the teaching materials for productive language skills in the aspect of writing assisted by Microsoft Sway. Thus, it can be concluded that the teaching materials are not only suitable for use, but also effective in improving the writing skills of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature education study program Unimed.
