Peat soils are characterized by high acidity, low base saturation, and complex nutrient dynamics, making relationships between soil chemical properties and maize productivity important to evaluate under different amendment regimes. This study aimed to explore these relationships under combinations of red mud and goat manure. The experiment was conducted for three months using peat soil from North Pontianak District, Pontianak City, Indonesia, in a 4 × 3 factorial arrangement with four red mud rates (100, 200, 300, and 400 g/polybag) and three goat manure rates (1,000, 2,000, and 3,000 g/polybag), with three replications (36 experimental units). Pearson correlation analysis explored relationships between soil pH, organic C, total N, available P, exchangeable K, Ca, Mg, and Na, cation exchange capacity, base saturation, and maize grain weight and number per cob. Correlation patterns varied among amendment combinations. Nominal associations were observed for pH, exchangeable Ca, K, and Na with grain number or weight in several combinations, while available P and cation exchange capacity were associated with grain weight in selected treatments. Overall, the observed relationships were combination-specific. Because each combination had only three replications and multiple correlations were examined, these findings should be interpreted as exploratory. Further studies with greater replication and factorial analysis are needed to confirm the observed relationships.
