Abstract

This study examines moral values represented in Bonnie, a film directed by Agus H. Mawardy, and their relevance to Indonesian language and literature learning. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a literary sociology perspective. Data were obtained from dialogues, scenes, actions, character behaviors, and narrative situations that represent moral values in the film. Data analysis followed the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing as proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings identify moral values in four dimensions: human relationships with oneself, others, the environment, and God. The first dimension includes honesty, integrity, resilience, responsibility, discipline, and hard work, while the second includes social concern, solidarity, empathy, forgiveness, generosity, and mutual cooperation. Environmental values include ecological concern, environmental responsibility, and preservation. The findings indicate that Bonnie presents moral values through concrete character actions, interpersonal interactions, conflicts, and choices. These representations provide relevant material for literature learning because students can identify, interpret, discuss, and reflect on moral issues through audiovisual narratives. The film can therefore function as an alternative literary learning medium supporting moral and character development.
