Abstract

Technological advances and the era of digital disruption have shifted the way humans understand moral responsibility in both public and private spheres. This transformation affects the construction of human nature, which has been understood within the framework of classical theological anthropology, particularly in relation to the imago Dei and free will. The issue between objective truth and digital relativism challenges the church to systematically and relevantly reformulate the foundations of Christian morality. Moreover, the phenomena of post-truth, the Internet of Things, and social polarisation reveal a crisis of moral integrity. This study aims to analyse the relationship between the concepts of humanity and morality in systematic theology and to formulate its ecclesiological implications in the era of digital disruption. The method used is qualitative study with a systematic-critical theological approach through literature analysis. The results of the study show that the reconstruction of theological anthropology rooted in the concept of imago Dei shows that human dignity and moral responsibility remain normative amid digital disruption. The post-truth crisis and digital relativism demand a renewal of Christian ethics based on the truth of the Gospel as the foundation for the formation of healthy Christianity.
