Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of maintaining work-life balance among employees in facing increasingly complex job demands. The research aims to examine the influence of employee well-being and workload, both partially and jointly, on the work-life balance of employees at PT. Indomarco Prismatama, Jakarta Branch 1. The study employs a quantitative survey approach with 77 respondents. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression, along with t-tests and F-tests at significance levels of 0.05 and 0.01. The results indicate that employee well-being has a positive and significant effect on work-life balance, contributing 46.5%. Meanwhile, workload also shows a positive and significant effect, contributing 62.0%. Simultaneously, both variables explain 65.0% of the variation in work-life balance, while the remaining portion is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings are consistent with previous literature emphasizing that physical, psychological, and social well-being, along with realistic workload management, are key determinants in maintaining work-life balance. Organizational support for employee well-being has been proven to enhance job satisfaction, reduce stress, and strengthen employee commitment. The study concludes that integrating employee well-being policies with proportional workload management represents a sustainable managerial strategy. Thus, companies can not only maintain the quality of work-life balance but also improve overall organizational performance.
