Abstract

Work accidents in higher education laboratory settings remain a serious concern, with one of the contributing factors being the lack of student awareness in implementing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) principles. This study was conducted to examine the extent to which OHS knowledge influences students' awareness of OHS behavior in the laboratory of the Energy Engineering Department at Bandung State Polytechnic. A descriptive quantitative approach was applied in this study, with sample selection using purposive sampling technique and data collection through a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression, T-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The findings reveal that OHS knowledge has a positive and significant influence on students' awareness of OHS behavior in the laboratory, meaning that an increase in students' OHS knowledge is directly proportional to their growing awareness in implementing OHS behavior.
