Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of rice production, population, and exchange rate on rice imports into Indonesia from 1993 to 2024. The research method employed involves the use of the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model to describe fluctuations in the relationship between these variables over both the short and long run. Empirical research result reveal that rice output has a significant negative effect on rice imports, both in the short and long run. Popoluation appears to have a significant positive effect on rice import in the short term, although this effectloses significance in the long run. Conversely, exchange rates do not show a significant effect on riceimports over the longer run
